Black bears are America’s most well known and common bear species. These bears are usually solitary animals and tend to roam in forests, swamps, and mountains.
Fun Facts
Despite their names, black bears also have blue-black or blue-gray, cinnamon, brown, and sometimes even white fur. Cubs usually stay with their mothers for at least two years before going out on their own.
