Grant’s Zebra
American Black Bear

Park Name: Tobias

Grant’s zebra is the smallest of six subspecies of the plains zebra. This subspecies represents the zebra form of the Serengeti-Mara ecosystem.

Fun Facts

Zebras are equids, members of the horse family. Zebras can run up to 40 mph and have great stamina for outrunning a predator in a chase. Zebras take dust or mud baths to get clean. They shake the dirt off to get rid of loose hair and flaky skin. What’s left protects them from sun, wind, and insects.
