- When a young tarantula loses a leg, it generally is no big deal because the tarantula can regrow that leg as it molts
- With their efficient digestive system, tarantulas can last a very long time without eating. For some tarantula species, adults can survive up to two years as long as they have water available.
- When males and females meet, they must decide if they are compatible through a courtship dance.
