Zedonk
American Black Bear

About

Park Name: Ziggy

Zedonks are a hybrid between a donkey and zebra. They are also commonly referred to as a zenkey, zebrass, and zonkey.

Fun Facts

Zedonks are sterile so their population cannot be properly evaluated. Zedonks were once breed for work because they inherited the stength of donkeys and the resistance to some pests and dieases like zebras. They are very rare because the chromosome count between the two species is so different; donkeys have 62 chromosomes, almost double those of a zebra.
